h u m b l e

traveling for no reason with no itinerary, if you've never done it you are missing out truly.
the world is such a large place, it's easy to get sucked into the mundane everyday humdrum and forget that there is a great big whirlwind of wild adventure awaiting. I have been contemplating getting "yes man" tattooed on me. traveling is beautiful, it not only stretches our imaginations but it reminds us how darn small we are.

being a mum and a wife can forge an overwhelming sense of selflessness leaving you to escape only at the wee hours of the night with a novel in a candle lit bubble bath. I've learned to reset how I look at things, you are in charge of your point of view, no matter how hopelessly stranded your situation may seem... you can change the way you see life. put aside all the pointless lessons your mothers, fathers, teachers, classmates, etc. have instilled in that beautiful brain of yours and create your own way of looking at things. brush your teeth with your Non-handed hand haha, (i'll give you a second to figure that one out)...

I had an adult vision the other day, this is my life. I'm in charge of how I think, how I perceive. hmm... i've been trying to fit into a box for so long, all the things my brain has sketched into it that seem to be "proper".. it finally hit me, "this is MY HOUSE, MY FAMILY" throw all the expectations out the window and what do you have left? well, i don't want to spoil the surprise...

I have found joy in buying giant seagrass/jute/sisal rugs and painting them with gorgeous patterns instead of drudging through catalogs and trying to find what "fits"... I taught myself to venetian plaster, hahahaha thank you internet for the diy how to...

the car driving the exact speed limit in front of you whilst your in a hurry through a canyon, don't honk your horn and be a turd burglar, perhaps they lost a loved one in a car accident or were involved in a serious one themselves, YOU NEVER KNOW. YOU ARE NOT THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE. revelation!! wow! you have a choice. be kind, be loving, smile when someone gives you a dirty look. ( i get them a lot i'm assuming it's due to the excess artwork i've collected)

seriously though, this is a jumble of thoughts and i just wanted to say. LOVE LIFE. make your own rules, if you want to buy two king size beds and put them next to one another then haggardly learn to sew two set of sheets together so your kids can sleep with you for as long as they think you're "cool" DO IT. I'm so much happier now that I've put all my past behind me and am creating a new future. Explore yourself, make mistakes and don't be afraid to take naughty b/w photos with your husband and blow them up have them framed and hang them in your bedroom.

Kyle and I have a rule, we have to makeout before bed, every single night. no matter if you're tired, in a row, etc. full on teenager make out. life is good, and plant some cherry tomatoes once you see how fast and easy they are to grow you'll never want to buy them at the market again.

put your iphone down and stop social networking, enjoy the moment. become 2200% involved in whatever you are doing at that very moment, whether it be watering your garden or coloring with your children. take a step back and live in the moment.

there you have it.
reveal yourself.<3

Monsters exist. My children call them GMO's. This might sound out there if you aren't aware of the genetic engineering that is going on with our food in America. I say America because once you start to do your research you will be amazed at how much is ILLEGAL in a ton of other countries. I decided to interview my six year old son Draven about his theories...

Q. Hi Draven, can you tell me about GMOS?
A. They are scary and soon they will take over the world.

Q. What do you mean by that? Can you tell me a story?
A. Once upon a time there was a scientist, probably a mad one in a evil lab. Maybe at one time he wanted to make food bigger and yummier to feed poor people but then he got evil and wanted to get a lot of money from farmers. So he went in his lab and cut open plants blood and made GMOS and they created monster plants and animals. GMO Corn is a monster plant, cows who eat monster plants are monsters too.

Q. It sounds like you definitely know that eating GMOs is a bad idea.
A. They have chemicals that change your brain and make you sick and maybe dead.

Q. How do you avoid eating them?
A. Buy organic food and read the box. I try to eat food that God made instead of science food that humans make.

Q. Why do you think they will take over the world?
A. because they can kill human kind and make mutants and there will be no one to stop them and they will take over the world.

------Thank you Dre, you are awesome and I love your brain.

( do your research on GMOS and eating organic, Draven is six and knows Genetically Modified Foods are bad for him to eat so goal accomplished )

This may seem funny that a six year old knows all this but he is very smart, pays attention and loves to help me cook.

My own theory on eating (non organic/GMO) is that when you consume food that isn't natural to your design... (flaming hot cheetos anyone?) The body doesn't know how to use it as food (energy) so we store it as fat. Then we are still hungry because we've consumed some weird empty calories with no true nutrients. Building an excess of toxins that hold on to fat cells while they change our DNA. Since I started eating Organic foods and went on a vegan diet I am never bloated, my skin/scalp is 100% better and I have even lost the stubborn belly fat without having to exercise rigorously.

so phase one... get rid of as many toxins as you can in your diet. I know eating organic is expensive but not eating organic isn't worth it. (google the dirty dozen list for some fruits and veggies you can start by replacing first) and take probiotics! We will get into that one later.

This is major.

Not really. Just trying to get back to writing aka purging my thoughts and clearing my head publicly and without fear. I've lost all hope for regaining access to my old blog Filthy Ego .. So without further slacking on my part I just created this as a temporary portal until my little nugget of a sister brings her brain over to set me up as a real blogger haha.

hmm.. my children are growing, husband is still sexy, life is good. I've learned how to be content in all areas of my existence. There have been ups and downs, embarrassing television shows ( I still refuse to watch because between the magic of editing and miscommunication I'm smart enough to know when NOT to allow unnecessary pain/confusion into my heart )

As much as this blog will be my musings, I will also post the things I eat ( fascinating, just wait ), lots of photos of things I feel shamelessly vain for talking about, like my skin care, marriage/relationship advice, parenting, makeup routines, outfits, I love to spill beauty secrets so this should be easy. I'll also be interviewing the beautiful Samantha Patridge on travel tips because I live vicariously through her wandering the globe. INSTAGRAM has really been my only outlet the last few years but I don't know if it's because I decided to stop trying to fit the mold or once they added the insight button and I saw that 88% of my followers are women that I am re-inspired to blog.

Recently Audrina ( my older sister for those of you just joining) asked me to come film a facebook live video for her and we ended up doing a second one with both of us right after just messing around and being silly. We then went to lunch and decided we should stop reading comments (some people on her social media are super mean) and just make videos being ourselves and doing eachother's makeup, styling one another etc. things we already do almost daily since she moved down the street from me. So I set up a youtube channel for that, Go subscribe <3

Alight I think I've covered the introductory bases. Love you all and thank you for all of your love.
